1.) I will basking in the glory of a great weekend. Cousin Reg came over Saturday night and we chilled. Ian came too. Seriously, is their anything better than two women hanging out in the kitchen, dancing and singing to Asher Roth's "I Love College" ? and staying up all night? I mean, does it really matter that we went to college 25 years ago?? I think not.
2.) I downloaded that entire album. The walks to the post office with my iPod will be great this week.
3.) Tuesday night, Max has a music program at school. I love listening to the choirs. It just never gets old. And since this is our 20th straight year of getting to hear our children sing, I'm expecting some sort of honor. I mean they haven't specifically told me I would be accepting an award but I may wear something a little extra nice just in case I get called up on stage.
4.) After the music concert, Tuesday night, Reg and I are heading to the Bottleneck in Lawrence to hear Jason Castro. Remember him, the 1st "dread headed" wonder on American Idol? I thought he was great and I'm looking forward to seeing him on Tuesday....we may drag Emily along too. Anybody else want to tag along??
5.) I have found a new found love for nap taking. Hopefully, this week I will get to take a few.
6.) I found a kid to rototill some of my yard so I will be planting my giant sunflowers this week. Yippee.
7.) This week, Kevin will be making a trip to the dump. We have a lot of stuff piled up and ready to go.My cousin over at www.inanetruths.blogspot.comwas comparing their yard to hillbillies last week and posted a picture of some mud on a step off their deck. Oh, there was a few pieces of wood on them too. We've had two mattresses laying in our yard since Emily moved in....what 6 weeks ago? and a broken tricycle from 2 years ago and a wagon from last winter and our garage is full of crap too. Our neighbors probably think we are hillbillies. I think we are hillbillies, too. ok. WE ARE HILLBILLIES.... fine. but our shit is going to the dump this week so as not to blow our cover. At least we will still have our acre of dandelions.
8.) Well, our hot water heater is fixed so we get hot showers whenever we want..... that is good
9.) Friday night, I'm going to cousin Ronnie's to meet her friend with the last name of Sixkiller. I'm excited. She just sounds like such a badass.
10.) The best thing about this week? Kevin thinks Mother's Day is Sunday. I'm not going to tell him it's next Sunday. He doesn't need to know that. I Love Mother's Day!! .....and this year I get two!!!!
